I can’t believe I’m just now discovering 17-year old singer /songwriter Claire Rachel Wilkinson, who makes quirky, witty electro pop music under the moniker Clairity. The Tennessee native reintroduces us to a heavy dose of 80’s by sampling Yazoo’s (Yaz if your in the USA) 1982 classic dancefloor hit “Don’t Go” while adding her own cheeky charm to “Velcro” making this song so incredibly catchy that it’s on repeat. Taken from her debut EP, ‘Alienation’ on Lava Records, Clairity is into taking digital pop music into the future using vintage throwback references to create a fun and alternative sound to her music – Check out the lyric video for the track.
